"Becoming downsized after nearly a decade in the financial services industry with bleak job prospects to boot was the impetus that made me do a lot of soul searching as to what the next step in my career should be. I was at a crossroads: Should I stay in my current industry and fruitlessly hope for the best or take a risk and begin a new career after all these years? I admit it was kind of scary at first.
Well let me tell you, my epiphany came one day while driving when I heard a commercial on the radio for ComputerTraining.com. After hearing that commercial, something just clicked and I said to myself, "Why not?" My computer background, as a user at least, was solid and I had the attitude that I have nothing to lose and all there is to gain!
I definitely have no regrets with my decision to pursue the MCSE program at ComputerTraining.com. I like the fact that I've gained a wealth of knowledge, new skills, and the opportunity to earn an MCP certification, so far! I'm confident my new training in IT will foster several new career opportunities to come.
So if you really have the will to pursue this program, ComputerTraining.com will provide you the way. Your will consist of strong focus and commitment: keeping up with reading of material, timely completion of homework assignments, and good attendance, for example. ComputerTraining.com's way is highly skilled and experienced instructors willing to help you and a caring staff. Incorporate these two and chances are you'll be very successful in the program as I was. It's a sound investment in yourself, your career, and your future."

"I have had very little computer experience in my life, but the contact I have had, I have always enjoyed. As part of my current job of fifteen years I was sent to Las Vegas for training. I realized how much I missed learning and decided I wanted something different. I was working the same job for over eighteen years (fifteen years at the same place) and was just feeling burned out. I decided with as much as I like computers, to give this a try. I haven’t looked back since. Everyday brings new challenges and a new opportunity to learn.
My first biggest fear was going back to school. It has been over twenty-five years since I was in a classroom setting. Second, was leaving a job that I knew everything (there wasn’t anything I couldn’t do) to a job where I needed to fix peoples’ problems.
This is the second best choice that I have made in my life, the first being my wife of over twenty years. Be brave – don’t be afraid to take that step – have confidence.
Overall, the experience has been great. I no longer have the stress nor do I hate going to work anymore. ComputerTraining.com has opened my eyes to a whole new and exciting world. Information Technology is definitely “IT” for me!"

"I have always been interested in computers starting in high school with PS1 and PS2 IBM’s. I was always helping family and friends with their home computers. One day, I finally said to myself I need to change my career.
I get to learn more aspects of IT and gain more knowledge and increase my overall opportunities to advance my career. Plus, I get to keep helping people with their computer problems.
I guess my biggest fear would be could I make the change in career and be successful at the same time. With help and family support, I was able to overcome all my fears. I would say to new students believe in yourself and don’t give up. One word that rings true – study! The experience from the class was one I will never forget. The pace was great and I feel that my life has changed for the better and I can see my future career goals."

"I’ve always enjoyed working with computers. I heard an ad for ComputerTraining.com on the radio and since I’ve always been better with computers than anything else, I decided it was time to make a change.
Being able to diagnose and resolve issues is something that I’ve always liked to do. In my old position, anyone could have done it. I now have been trained to troubleshoot and fix technical issues as they arise, and not everyone can do that. I know that I am just beginning my new career in a field that I love and won’t be stuck in a dead-end job anymore. I will be able to learn and grow as the field of Information Technology changes.
I didn’t really have any concerns coming into the program. I was more excited and eager to get started in my new career field. Any time I did have an issue with testing or homework, I knew I could always come to our technical trainer to get assistance, wherever I needed it.
My advice to new students would be to work hard and study. You have to put in a lot of hours outside of class to get the results you want. Microsoft doesn’t just hand out certifications, you have to earn them. With the guidance from my ComputerTraining.com staff, I was able to push through and pursue even when I doubted myself.
Previously, when I was asked to troubleshoot technical issues, I would play around with the computer, but now that I have my certifications and Microsoft training, I won’t stop until I’ve resolved the technical issue. Coming to ComputerTraining.com has given me the opportunity to start my new career, making almost the same amount of money I was making at the top of my department in a different field. Now that I’m just beginning my new career, I know my opportunities are endless as I develop into a seasoned IT professional."

"I knew only the basics and how to use a few applications. I’ve always loved computer and how challenging they are. I’ve been trying to break into the field for a long time but could never get through all the “general” courses at a regular school. I needed something that was going to teach me the technical skills I needed to get me into the IT field fast. It’s challenging, it offers room for growth and it keeps me on my toes with the way technology is constantly changing.
Of course failure was my biggest concern! I just kept at it and didn’t give up. I didn’t let the frustration of not getting everything the first time trying get to me. You just have to keep going and trying! The training program is excellent. I would advise new students to stay focused, try not to get frustrated, and to study hard! There will be ups and downs, but in the end, it is all worth it!
It’s given me a sense of accomplishment. I am ready to start a “real” career and build onto what I’ve learned in the program. I feel like the opportunities are endless!"

"My computer background before ComputerTraining.com was just self-taught. The first ever computer I opened was a broken one because I was too afraid that I would of breaking a working computer. After that day I just started reading in magazines and books for my computer education. I decided to get certified because friends and family started asking me questions about computers that was too advanced for me learning on my own, so it was the most logical choice for me.
What I like most about this field is that it is an always growing and changing field that will only get better with time and technology.
The first time I heard the advertisement on the radio I really didn't pay attention to it because I thought it was just like the other ones out there. But I heard it again and again so I finally just said to myself to try and take the Online Skills Challenge.
My best advice is to don't think that it is easy and you think you know it even if you have been do the job for years. Because if you do you will see yourself to start fall behind from information you haven't used before.
My experience with ComputerTraining.com has been great. Once I started the class I didn't have a second doubt about doing it."

"I worked in retail for nine years selling computer peripherals and software, but had no formal technical training. After being told I needed to relocate, I decided to pursue my interest in computers and networking as a career. I decided to visit ComputerTraining.com after hearing their daily radio commercials.
Having acquired my certifications I feel that I am more valuable in the work force. I currently work in the IT department of a financial institution, which presents new challenges daily. I have been able to knowledgeably give my input on solutions to network and domain related issues.
I was not a studier throughout my years of school, and was concerned about the workload that was involved in this program. Being interested in the work made me forget about the amount of time being spent on the material, and made me want to understand and find out more about how things work. By the time I completed the course I had passed all the exams and obtained my MCSE.
The only advice I can give is: Don’t give up or get frustrated if you do something wrong. Sometimes fixing something that is messed up, is a better learning experience than having step-by-step directions on how to do something correctly from scratch. You are better off learning how to fix things that are malfunctioning, than just knowing the working process.
ComputerTraining.com has definitely impacted my life. Not only has it allowed me to make a seamlessly easy career change, it has also boosted my confidence when dealing with people and increased my leadership and teaching capabilities in the work place."
