"When I first heard about ComputerTraining.com, I thought, here’s another “fly by night” computer training course that would provide sub par training to students. Boy was I off the mark! ComputerTraining.com turned out to be a first rate computer training organization, with an exceptionally professional staff. After checking out my options and consulting with a co-worker (a student of ComputerTraining.com at the time), I decided to enroll at ComputerTraining.com to help build my skills, acquire my MCP, MCSA and MCSE, and to further my career in the IT field.
I had taken a few other instructor-led computer courses, which were great, but they taught me just enough to be dangerous, but when I finally decided on ComputerTraining.com, I knew it was a great solution for a busy guy like me. My instructor was instrumental in helping me prepare for the certifications. He sure knows his stuff. He would consistently help me and other class members to overcome our weakness and expand on our strengths.
I achieved my MCP while I was still enrolled at ComputerTraining.com. I remember how great a day that was for me. The whole office shared in my victory. My co-worker, a MCP himself at the time, almost jumped out of his seat when I told him I had passed. With the MCP under my belt, I continued to study, and only five months after graduating ComputerTraining.com, I achieved my MCSA and MCSE certifications.
Now that I have attained my MCSE, I plan to get my Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician (MCDST) certification, security specialization for MCSE, and Microsoft Certified Trainer (MCT), so I can become a part of the elite group of technical and instructional experts in Microsoft products, technologies, and solutions.
The most important things I learned at ComputerTraining.com are that patience, dedication, persistence and making sure you have the right people supporting you will make a world of difference. ComputerTraining.com went far beyond what I expected from any other training school I looked into!"

"I chose to come to ComputerTraining.com to further my career and education. I was a student at Rutgers and I came to feel that universities are more for the money than for the students. I wanted to get away from the business of it and look into something that was more small scale. More student-teacher interaction, hands on. No notes, lecturing to 300 people.
When I decided to go to ComputerTraining.com I already had a background with computers, interested with them since the sixth grade and I wanted to turn my hobbies into a career. The class was very hands on; we got a lot of time to speak to the teacher. If I ever had a problem, the instructor would walk over and walk me through the issue or complication that arose. I felt that the instructor was there for every single student and gave his all to help out everyone in reaching for their success.
I would urge students taking tests for their certifications, to try to stick to the layout as much as possible, to focus on the test that is in front of you. Once you fall behind it is hard to catch up. Take the exams as you are going over the information, do not put it to the side throughout the class. Of course there may be things that come up, but the time and effort is very important when completing the course. When you do what you need to do, the homework, the labs, the prep quizzes, it seems to flow a lot easier. You have to put in the effort at home as well. Focus on the MCSE, make that your end goal!"

"I began working as an administrative assistant for a farm cooperative that was in the process of moving their headquarters to a new location and I was implementing a computer network. Part of my job responsibility became maintaining and expanding their computer network to include not only the corporate headquarters, but also their branch locations. After working for several years for them, I thought that it would be beneficial to me to get formal training by earning my Microsoft certifications.
I most enjoy the fact that I am getting to apply my knowledge on a daily basis for my current employer by maintaining their computer network. This knowledge has given me the confidence to feel that when I troubleshoot an issue, I will be able to correctly resolve it.
My biggest concern going into the program was a fear of not being able to find a job after completing the program. I overcame this fear by continuing to keep in contact with colleagues I had been working with while at the Co-op. This continued communication lead to an internship while I was in the program and then my first full time IT job as a Systems Engineer with a computer consulting firm.
The best advice I can give incoming students is to be diligent in your studies and to ask questions of your fellow students or the instructor on concepts that are unclear to you. Also the best way to learn the material is to actively participate in the labs that correspond with the reading material as well as the build labs that accompany the completion of each section of the program.
The overall experience of the program has made a considerable change in my outlook of my career path. The program allowed me to meet many new people and create many new friendships. Those friendships have lead to my current job as a network administrator, and I love it!"

"I came to Computertraining.com to go into a field that I enjoyed working in and to make more money. I knew that I would benefit from the training because I would be learning skills that I would be able to apply in my new career. I also knew that if I put this off, I would never do it, and eventually regret it.
My biggest concern was changing careers and not being able to easily adapt into the field of Information Technology. I overcame my fears by the reassurance of my trainer and the Career Services department.
I am really excited to move into a position solely concentrated in the IT field. I know that there will be a lot of potential to grow with the company as I learn and develop my skill set.
The whole experience of feeling accomplished and knowing that I am doing something that I love has been life changing. I know that it may seem difficult to juggle everything, but don’t give up. It will all be worth it in the end.
Going to work no longer seems like a chore. I know that I will be able to grow and develop as an IT professional. I am no longer in a dead end position; I now have a career."

"After almost 25 years in the insurance industry, I decided that I needed a change in my life. I had noticed that as the insurance industry moved more and more towards automation, I found myself gravitating more and more to computers and networking. In many of my insurance jobs, I had become the local help desk – many of my colleagues would come to me for computer help! At the time, my personal situation allowed me the opportunity to explore what I needed to do to get into the IT field and obtain valuable certifications. My efforts brought me to ComputerTraining.com.
The first few weeks of schooling at ComputerTraining.com were tough – setting aside time for class and work, planning reading and homework assignments around home life events and getting over the fact that I was one of the older students in class! I knew that everyone was there for the same reason I was so that eased a bit of the pressure. It was a great learning environment. I wish the schooling could have gone on for a longer period of time, especially when it came to the lab work. I was grateful for my instructor’s insistence that we periodically change lab partners. I believe that I got to know many more of my fellow students and learned that many of my concerns were shared and not just the result of my imagination.
If I thought going back to school was tough, trying to get my foot in the door of the IT world with a resume that is top-heavy with insurance activities was an even bigger test. It was discouraging at times when the follow-up interviews did not materialize as I expected. For that reason alone, I am grateful for the help and assistance of the career counselors at ComputerTraining.com. They were able to offer me perspective on what was happening to me with respect to the job market and make suggestions to keep me focused on my goal of getting that IT job. After a bit of an uphill battle, I have been successful landing a job as a Help Desk Associate at a major retailer. It was a little scary to be in a situation where I had no prior experience to rely on. However I do feel that this has really “charged my batteries” as I am challenged almost everyday with something new and different. Now that I am in the door, I have no plans to leave any time soon!"

"My first experience with computers came at an early age. A relative of mine was heavy into them, so I decided to question my relative to gain an understanding of how they work. As I grew older, I decided that this wasn’t just a hobby, but rather a possible career. I heard through a radio station that I could become certified in half a year. After hearing that promo, I took the Online Skills Challenge and six months later, I was certified.
My new career is incredible. I work in a fast-paced and energetic environment. I quite often refer to my textbooks as a reference to problems in which I have no immediate solution. Everyone with whom I work is understanding and very helpful.
Even though I am excelling in my new career, I was skeptical at first. Before the program began, I didn’t think I would have the time to focus on my schoolwork. With evening classes, however, it was not an issue.
This is a great program and if I had any advice for prospective students; it would be to study! I cannot overemphasize the importance of studying. It is hard work, but very beneficial in the end. This has been the best decision I have made yet. I am having fun in my new career and applying my newly acquired skills from ComputerTraining.com everyday."

"While looking online for tech schools and community colleges, I found information on ComputerTraining.com. I made an appointment with my local center, toured the school and felt very comfortable with the environment. With my goals in mind and the understanding of the tough work ahead of me, I felt education through ComputerTraining.com was the right opportunity.
I enrolled and began the classes needed to accomplish my objective. I worked a full time job and took a four hour class two nights a week. This was very difficult but I managed to keep the whole thing in perspective. The online study guides and quizzes from home make it easier and convenient to continue your education outside of school and the excellent instructor is a blessing.
By the end of the course, ComputerTraining.com gave me the knowledge and motivation to help me pass my MCP and MCSA and earn my certifications."
