A Training Center is only as good as the students that fill its classrooms.  If our students are not successful, we are not successful.   Below are just a few of the many student success stories happening at ComputerTraining.com.

Student Success Stories
"My computer experience before starting ComputerTraining.com was rather extensive; however it was also outdated knowledge, as well as not as in-depth as I had thought. I had always enjoyed working with computers and wanted to expand that enjoyment into a career, because working in retail I kept running into the problem of being laid off. The thing that excites me most about my new career, as well as the career path I am now on, is the freedom. I work when and if I want to, and that freedom has given me more opportunity to spend more time with my children; time that I never used to have working in retail and sales.

My biggest fear about entering the program was fear of failure. I overcame this fear by studying twice as hard and applying myself to every single challenge that was out in front of me. Advice that I would give to new students is that they need to study hard. When they think they’ve studied enough and are ready to test, they’ll need to study even more. This class is the most difficult thing I have ever encountered and I recommend that you cannot let a single day pass without reading classroom text, or performing lab, or taking a practice test. The experience of this class has changed my life. I am a network technician and I make $82,000 a year. That is a far cry from the $13.00 an hour I was making before I became certified with this program, and that is a serious life change as well."

"I decided on ComputerTraining.com for the fast-paced learning environment. I researched all the schools in my area, and decided to come here because it was, convenient, fit my schedule and focused exclusively on Microsoft certification. I had my own business and was looking for a change of pace in careers. I was really looking for something more stable than my previous situation.

While in the class I learned a lot about servers. It was very rough at times juggling my work schedule. The amount of studying that I had to do was overwhelming at times. I never gave up. The instructor was great, very useful and helped out whenever I needed him. Do not be afraid of the exams, overcome that fear and just take them! Give it your all, and you can succeed!"

"Before I enrolled in the program, I was working as management in a retail environment and absolutely hated it. There is no worse feeling than going to work and hating every thought of it. One day a friend of mine told me about a company he worked for that was offering an MCSE training course, and I decided to do my research.

My biggest concern initially was the thought of not finding a job after taking the course, but I figured that the only way to get out of retail was to make this step towards my new future, so I enrolled. After I received my training, I took a job working for a web hosting company working infrastructure.

The best thing about my job is knowing that no matter what direction my career takes me, I have a foundation of knowledge that will help me succeed. I know I wouldn't be where I am today, without the training I received. If I could give any advice to new prospects, I would say if you’re interested in making a life change, and you have an interest in computers, the jobs are there and you will not regret your decision."

"I was working the night shift at a printing company and I wanted to go back to school to find a better career and get out of that industry. I heard the ComputerTraining.com ad on the radio, so I decided to give it a shot. At first, I knew I would be dealing with computers and cutting out the unnecessary classes that other colleges and programs made you take. I liked the direct training offered.

While attending, I learned an incredible amount of things including the set up of servers, and more about XP than I knew before. When working to pass your certification tests, you really do have to study and you have to apply yourself. Even when I was helping out a buddy of mine setting up his business’ network, I was hitting the books and getting through some of the test prep. The instructor knows what he is doing. He was very knowledgeable, and I felt comfortable in class because of that."

"I’ve always had an interest in computers. Troubleshooting them for friends and family was a hobby of mine. When I decided to get serious about it, I decided ComputerTraining.com would be the best fit for me. My time there has since opened up many doors for me.

Instructors were very knowledgeable and happy to help. The skills I learned in the classroom and labs have prepared me for a successful future in the IT field. It is nice to finally have the security to know that anywhere life takes me I have skills and certifications that will make me desirable and successful as an IT Professional."

"The challenges of an IT Technician are many. But the biggest one is starting on the field. Thanks to ComputerTraining.com, I was able to obtain an MCP certification which helped me get started on a new future.

I knew this was going to be a fast-paced program, but with the help of a fully-qualified instructor, I was able to focus on my studies. Six months might seem like a long time, but not coming to this class and joining the ranks of IT would have seemed like forever."

"Before I came to ComputerTraining.com I was a maintenance manager who assisted the IT department setting up and installing computers, printers and other hardware in a workgroup environment. I enjoyed working with computers and knew the IT field offered opportunities for money and advancement then my current career. I decided to enroll in CTC to get the certifications I needed to make the career change.

My biggest concern was being able to learn so much after being out of school for so many years. But the actual workgroup environment and being able to implement the skills that I was learning took those fears away.

My advice to anyone enrolling in ComputerTraining.com would be to study as much as you can. This class is very hard and requires a lot of time, but the rewards are worth it. The school has given me opportunities that I would not have had, and a new appreciation for the IT Field."

"My computer background was basically helping my mom, brothers, sister and friends doing basic tasks on their computers. It all seemed like basic skills to me and it just made sense to me while I was working on a computer. I considered getting certified, because it sounded like a good idea to say I that I was “certified”, rather than saying I fix the family’s home computer from time to time.

I really like my new job because all I’m doing with my time is configuring computers non-stop. It is really fast-paced and I always have something going on in the position. Half the time I’m so involved in what I’m doing, I don’t bother looking at the clock. My biggest concern when entering the program was keeping up with the reading the books in their entirety. The books seem really big and full of many concepts what I had never known that a computer even did. For some reason after reading a chapter, it seemed like nothing really sank in at all. I was kind of worried that I wouldn’t understand anything from reading. However, during the next class session, the instructor basically discussed all the key points of the chapter I read a day or two before. Afterwards, I would briefly scan through the chapter and say, “Ah, that’s what that is.” or “That’s what he meant.”

To any new students considering enrolling with ComputerTraining.com, I would advise to go into it headstrong. When you begin in class, you must have solid concentration for the next six months to come. You cannot join and think that you'll gain the knowledge through osmosis by sleeping with the book under your head at night. The key things for me were test prep, labs and more test prep. Test prep provided me with most of the knowledge I learned by myself. Labs provided an actual visualization of the screen doing the process.

After graduating from ComputerTraining.com, I had finally landed a job as a configuration tech at a computer loaner program. I was beginning to feel slightly worried I wouldn’t get a new job before graduating. My interviews were not up to par, during the first few, but I did have many interviews. After interviewing for the configuration tech position, I was totally confident the job was mine. All I needed to do was make up my mind to take it or try another interview. I really liked the feeling I had about walking around the building, because I would be dealing with computers, but not in an office environment."
