"Since I was young, I’ve had an interest in computers. My father brought home our first PC when I was in grade school and I spent the whole night with the DOS book in my lap, learning how it worked. From working in college as a lab assistant to taking odd jobs as a web designer, computers have long been a hobby of mine. Finally, I heard a radio ad for ComputerTraining.com and decided to turn my hobby into a job that went above and beyond simply paying the bills.
ComputerTraining.com gave me more than knowledge of Microsoft’s products. My experiences gave me confidence, both in myself and my career choices. I realized my goals and lifestyle were within my reach, and all I had to do was put forth the effort to exceed my expectations. The testing was challenging but worth every moment put towards it, and my achievements and passion lead me to a great job in a data center and also saw me invited back to the training center, this time as an intern.
If I could offer any advice to you, as you stand reading these testimonials from people with great jobs and cryptic letters after their names, it would be to never give up on yourself. If you accept the challenge presented by ComputerTraining.com, you will be put through a fast-paced and powerful program that is only as effective as the effort you put towards it. Your level of dedication to yourself and your education will account for your level of success both in your training and your future career. Remind yourself that you can do it, and you will!"

"I must first admit that when I began my classes at ComputerTraining.com, I was not sure I was doing the right thing. I knew I wanted to re-enter the IT field, but I was not sure that ComputerTraining.com could provide me the path I needed. Thanks to the persistence of the Director of Admissions, the Microsoft Certified Trainer, and the Director of Placement, I am further than I dreamed I could be in less than one year of completing the course.
At the time I began the program; I had left my position as a manager of a liquor store and was without a job. I gave the course 110%, including following the guidance of the Director of Placement. After receiving my MCP, I started a 3 month contract making just $13/hr and believe me; I was concerned about the dollar amount! However, the Director of Placement reassured me that I needed to get my foot in the door and finish my training, and then the sky would be the limit.
I quickly received a promotion to Team Lead and first a raise to $15/hr, then $17/hr, then $20/hr, and just today, 9 months after starting a 3 month contract, I signed a permanent offer letter with a starting salary of $71,000.00. And I am expecting an increase to $77,000.00 following my 90 day review!!!
I cannot say it enough, ComputerTraining.com has changed my life!"

"I have always had a passion for computers and could see myself in the IT industry but didn’t know how I was going to reach that goal. Because of my desire, I became curious about ComputerTraining.com and how I could reach such a goal within six months. My computer background now consists of technical skills in installation and configuration of operating systems, Active Directory administration and design, Network Security, Remote Access and more. I chose to change my career because I realized that I would reach the highest peak in my field and feel like I was missing something or even worse, not be able to recognize that limit. I didn’t feel valued and lost my drive. I would feel like I hadn’t accomplished anything had I stayed within my previous field. Since my new career change, I am able to speak with excitement about my job during a conversation with someone and not lose interest!
At first I was concerned that I would have a problem with my overwhelming schedule because of the demanding job that I had which frequently required overtime. I felt that there may be a struggle to juggle work and school, or trying to get assignments completed on time. This pressure led me to stress and worry whether or not I would be able to pursue this opportunity. I also feared that I may not understand the material or that it may be too technical for me. Before I let the fears and concerns devastate me, I recalled my initial plan and desire. I changed my “I think I can” to “I will” and kept my determination above all things.
For new students, I first recommend time management, which is the most important factor when taking an accelerated course. To avoid the possible roadblocks, attempt to get assignments completed well in advance and review a chapter or two more than you are expected to know prior to your next class. Start studying for exams on day one and be prepared to ask plenty of questions. Form study groups and get to know your peers so you can network within and outside of class. Express your concerns because you are not alone and someone may have the same concern you have.
Overall, my experience with ComputerTraining.com has broadened my technical skills. The IT industry is constantly developing which makes me excited about the direction my career path is taking. In this new and exciting career, I never feel like I am working but rather enjoying a hobby!"

"While serving in the U.S. Air Force and working as a computer operator, I caught a glimpse of how challenging and rewarding the Information Technology field can be. That is when I decided to pursue an IT education back home in Chicago. I was about to finish with my Bachelor’s degree in Network and Communications management when I came to the conclusion that I was still missing something. I felt like I had a solid core set of skills, but was lacking the skill or knowledge of a certain technology that would set me apart from the rest. That is where ComputerTraining.com came in.
ComputerTraining.com provided me with the knowledge and confidence to go out there and acquire the type of job that I was looking for, one that is challenging, rewarding, and with plenty of room for advancement. I am now working as a network administrator for a medical consulting company in Chicago. I work on everything from Active Directory and Exchange administration to researching and implementing new technologies that will allow my company to grow, improve business processes and prosper. It is a very rewarding feeling for me to know that I have helped out my company acquire a new client or improve the operational process of an existing one. The sky is the limit from here on out.
I of course had my reservations about signing up for ComputerTraining.com. But those reservations were quickly put to rest from the very beginning. The layout of the program is one that is easy to follow and in my mind, one that that fully prepares you to attain your certifications; and the patience, dedication, and professionalism of my instructor and the rest of the staff was exceptional. Attending ComputerTraining.com was one of the best decisions I have ever made.
My advice to prospective students is just to do the research and make sure that the IT field is one that they want to pursue. And for those that to decide on taking that challenge, I would definitely recommend that ComputerTraining.com be the avenue they take. And as with anything else in life, what you get out of it depends on how much you are willing to put into it."

"I purchased my first computer in 1999, so my background consisted of web surfing and email. While working for a local photographer, my job was eliminated because of competition from digital photography. I searched for a new career in a field that was not going to go away any time soon.
My biggest concern entering the program was a fear of not being able to pick up the material, but the strength of the curriculum and the skills of the instructor and staff turned me from an out-of-work photographer and into an IT Project Coordinator with a solid future!
After graduation, with the help of the Director of Placement at ComputerTraining.com, I secured employment with a company that has enjoyed exponential growth over the past five years. Being there at this time of expansion is exciting and rewarding and bodes well for my future.
To any potential students considering entering this program I would say, "Do it!" You'll have to work hard while you're there and study hard when you aren't, but the payoff at the end of the program is well worth it.
ComputerTraining.com has given me a future, and for that I am extremely grateful."

"Having worked in the real estate industry for several years and looking for a career change, I was hoping that ComputerTraining.com would help me enter one of the fastest growing industries in the market today.
Having learned the skills needed to pursue a career as an IT professional, I have done just that. Just a few weeks before the classes came to an end, I was hired as a Help Desk Analyst on my second interview with a great company with excellent benefits and perks.
A dedicated individual with a passion for technology and their motivation to change their circumstances can make many doors open with this opportunity. Students definitely need to put in 100% of their effort into the curriculum and focus on their future towards a rewarding career.
ComputerTraining.com was the best decision I could have ever made to start my career in the IT field. I’m starting over again with a new career, and my opportunities for advancement are limitless now thanks to the skills and certifications I have earned through ComputerTraining.com."

"I was not happy with what I was doing. I was a bartender and had shifts that last until four in the morning. I knew I did not want this lifestyle forever and I knew I had to get out of bartending and find something that was more stable for my future. I wanted to do something that I could enjoy as a career. So I decided to take the Online Skills Challenge at ComputerTraining.com.
My biggest fear when I enrolled, was being able to keep up with the fast pace and whether or not I would be able to learn all the info I needed to learn in the six months of training. The course ended up being a good pace for me and I highly enjoyed everything I learned. The key was to do everything that needed to be done at home for the course. That kept me on track and kept me up to pace in the class.
Some advice that I felt helped me through the certificates and exams would be to study really hard. I buckled down for two weeks before the exam. The self test questions that were supplied are very useful! They helped me prep myself nicely for the exams. The instructor was a wealth of information. Anything I did not know was clearly explained to me. Do not be afraid to ask questions, that is what helped me understand things I did not get initially.
I started an Information Technology career implementing all the knowledge I’ve learned from the course with a successful company. I am getting paid great money to do what once was only a favorite hobby.
Thank you ComputerTraining.com for all your support!"
