"Most of my computer experience dealt with hardware and consisted of building computers for friends and family.  Seeing how I always liked computers, I wanted to make a career of it but there just were not a lot of opportunities available with my limited hardware knowledge.  I saw getting my Microsoft certifications as a way to begin a career and get into a field that offered opportunities for growth and was financially rewarding.
