A Training Center is only as good as the students that fill its classrooms.  If our students are not successful, we are not successful.   Below are just a few of the many student success stories happening at ComputerTraining.com.

Student Success Stories

"I’d used computers for years on a personal level and at my jobs, but I’d never had any real IT training.  After graduating from college I was stuck in a dead-end job and really had nowhere I wanted to go career-wise.  I knew I’d need new training and skills to get a job in a field that had more opportunities.  Knowing that I was already good with computers and looking at the myriad of career options in the IT world, becoming certified and entering the IT field made sense.

The best thing about my new IT career is that I know I’ll never be stuck in a job I don’t like.  Now that I’m certified, there will always be other, better opportunities out there for me to take advantage of.  Since new technologies appear almost daily, I can continue to learn new things and make myself more valuable to potential employers.  Plus, I’ll never get bored.

My biggest concern about the program was the cost.  I already had loans from college and for my car, so I was very wary of taking on even more financial burdens.  However, I knew that the training I would receive would help me get better, higher-paying jobs down the road.  I considered the tuition costs an investment in myself and my future.

As a new student, you must apply yourself.  Do the homework, do the labs, experiment on your own.  It’s the only way to learn things in detail.  It will be very tough at times, but keep focused on whatever goals you’ve set for yourself- obtaining an MCSE, getting a new job, whatever.  Work hard, persevere, and you’ll be fine.

I’m now much more optimistic about my future.  I got out of my old, high-stress job and now work in a friendly environment where I can set my own goals, learn new things, and gain more experience.  I know that after this job, I can find a new one without a terrible amount of trouble and can expect to make more money."

"I’ve always been familiar with computers.  I really only knew the basic navigations of the software and hardware components.  I’ve always liked computers and stayed current with the changes throughout the years.  I decided to get certified because Microsoft is the most dominant company within the IT industry.  I decided that I also wanted to land a high paying position in the IT world, and quickly.  I came to the conclusion there simply wasn’t a better way to get started than to get certified in six months at ComputerTraining.com.

With my new Help Desk position, I already earn a lot more than I did at my last position.  This position is only an entry level, and as time progresses, I am confident that I will continue to work up the ladder to reach my ultimate goal of Network Administrator.

Before I started at ComputerTraining.com, I was concerned that I wasn’t going to be able to retain all of the information during the six month course.  It is a lot of information in a short amount of time, but with hard work, persistence and dedication, anything can be achieved.  It took complete determination and time to get my MCSE, but that is the reward for my effort.

I would highly recommend new students to give this course your undivided attention.  This class is difficult, but not impossible.  Manage your time wisely and exhaust all new resources that are available to you.  I suggest finding a few people to study with on a daily basis.  The more people you study with, the more feedback and insight you will gain.  Take this class very seriously and work hard!  If you do that, you will reap the maximum benefits this program has to offer.

This experience has given me an enormous amount of inspiration and motivation to really excel in the IT Industry.  I will continue to advance through the ranks by continuing my certifications, and I’m happy to say it all started here at ComputerTraining.com."

"I was always very computer savvy in that I have owned a computer since the Commodore Vic 20.  I had learned each operating system through Windows XP.  I had a good working knowledge of each system from a standpoint of what I needed the computer to do.  I knew there was much more to each operating system, including Windows XP and wanted to learn more to be thoroughly knowledgeable with Windows.

My new career allows me to take my love of the computer to a new level.  I get to join a company that is basically exploding in growth and is making a new IT department from a single person that is currently managing all the company’s IT needs.  I will get to be an intricate part of this new department as it evolves.

Before entering the program, I was a 16-year Paramedic.  That has been the majority of my career in some way, shape, or form in emergency services.  Completely changing course to a whole new career was a big fear of mine in that I was very secure in my job and making really good money.  Now I get to take advantage of my computer savvy and put it to work.

For new students entering the program, I would totally encourage them to stay with it and study hard.  Beyond Windows XP I felt like I was reading something foreign but stayed with it.  I am now seeing the end result of finishing the course and following through on the testing to become certified.

I feel like now I have the bull by the horns in that I now control my own destiny as far as my career goes.  I felt as though I had to retire in the EMS career I was in because there wasn’t anything else to count on.  The sky is the limit for my career now, there are so many paths I can take that will lead to a great future."

"When I started this program I was afraid of installing, configuring and managing a computer because I knew almost nothing beyond the basics.  I didn’t even know how to install an operating system!

In these 24 weeks, my knowledge about how computers work, as well as networking has increased dramatically.  Now I have confidence to work in the IT field. Enthusiasm, perseverance and commitment were important in reaching my goals.  I’ve just finished the program and I’ve got my first IT job!  Thanks ComputerTraining.com!"

"I’ve had years of building and exposure to computer software, it has played a big role in my life. I wanted to get certified to go further and make a career for myself. I am getting experience with customer service and new software operations, which will be really helpful in the real world.

Initially, I was afraid I wouldn’t pass the course and I would be in debt with no job. I quickly learned that key is to work hard, get certified and show up for class. With hard work, you can get over your fears and graduate.

The program has taught me many things about the business portion of computers and taken me higher than I have ever gone. Thanks to ComputerTraining.com, I have taken my own path and have gone towards something worthwhile."

"My computer background consisted of building and repairing computers and being tech support for friends and family. I was the person they called when something wasn’t working. I needed to make a career change because the company I was working for is slated to close in 2008. I needed to find something that I enjoyed doing – not just a job. I also needed more education and experience than what I had in computers.

I enjoy what I do now. I have job security. I have the skills I need to move up in the IT business.

When I started the course, I was concerned that it would be too much, that I wouldn’t be able to learn everything that I needed to learn. I studied hard, and made sure that I kept up. I did what I needed to do to excel. If you keep with it, study hard, and even after you graduate, keep taking the tests – keep current, you’ll undoubtedly succeed.

Before this training course, I had no goals.  My instructor taught me to set goals and how to achieve them. I now have a career, whereas before I just had a job."
