"I have always had an interest in computers, and being the guy that my friends and family always called on when they were having computer problems, I finally decided to make something out of it. Over the years I had heard the radio commercials for ComputerTraining.com and it sounded intriguing. It really sounded like something I’d be interested in pursuing to round out my 4-year degree in Applied Mathematics. One day I decided to take the online skills test and see how I did. Next I met with a school counselor, and I haven’t looked back since.
Before beginning this class, I thought I knew most things about computers. This course has opened my eyes to so many more things in the computer field. I like being self-reliant when it comes to my own computer systems. I certainly love the job opportunities available to me with my new skill set. Let’s face it, computers are never going away. I now have the credentials to make my way into the future of computers.
Obviously my biggest concern about the program was the cost. That concern was quickly diminished after the first day of class when I met my instructor, other school personnel, and my fellow classmates. The knowledge I have been instilled with is priceless! I have made some great relationships and connections through the school that will take me far in life with my new skills. Now when I look back, I don’t know why I waited so long!
I would tell new students that the work is tougher than you would expect, even for an experienced computer person. However, the hard work pays off greatly in the end. Focus on what the instructor teaches you, follow along with the reading and lab work, and use the provided exam study software. It’s a tried and true method, but also find out what works for you too! It will all pay off!
Before beginning at ComputerTraining.com, I was unsure of what I wanted to do with my life. I was unhappy with my current academic coursework in math. I was working a dead end job making very little money. Now, I have found my calling. I am excited about all the knowledge I have. I am beginning a new career making four times the amount of money I was making! Now, as I finish my four-year degree in Math and couple that with my certifications, I will be extremely marketable to companies. The future is mine for the taking!"

"I was a hardware tech for twenty years and in a position that offered zero growth. I wasn't sure if I even wanted to stay in the computer industry. One day while driving between service calls I heard the advertisement for ComputerTraining.com. I couldn't believe what I heard. I knew that this was for me and I couldn't wait to get started.
From day one the staff at ComputerTraining.com were there for me. The instructors are top notch and always answered every question I had. The lab work is awesome. After reading about a topic and then actually seeing it work really makes it sink in. The placement staff goes above and beyond to make sure your resume is top notch to help in finding a new position. Shortly after graduation, I started a new IT career with a different company. I have a job that I actually like and all the doors that were closed to me have been opened."

"Coming into ComputerTraining.com, I would have rated my computer ability at a three or four on a scale of ten. I could navigate my way on the web, write a Word or Excel document, and that was about it!
I come from a background of 10+ years in the Production, Manufacturing, and Warehousing industry where I made just barely above minimum wage for most of my career. I came home most nights thinking how I could get ahead, but never seemed to be able to get there. I wanted to check out ComputerTraining.com because of the advertisements saying how I could make more money in a booming field.
Now, having graduated I would rate my overall computer ability so much higher! I have been hired with a local company in an entry-level position with a salary that matched what entry-level management made in my old industry!
My advice to those joining ComputerTraining.com is to take this course very seriously. I wish I would have been able to concentrate solely on this course, but I had to work a full-time job as well. This course was the hardest thing I have done in my career! Also, I would tell students to work with Career Services every step of the way! I did everything my Career Services representative asked me to do and took her advice very seriously. My Career Services representative went above and beyond the call of duty every single time I worked with her. Without her I would not have the job I have today!"

"I got interested in computers about four years ago because of my job. My company purchased a laser etching machine that used a windows 2000 pc to run. I had to teach myself how to script using notepad so that we could use the machine. After operating that machine for three years and realizing that I was not going anywhere with that company, I decided that after hearing ComputerTraining.com’s radio commercial that I would check it out. I took the Online Skills Challenge and was contacted by someone the very next day. I setup an appointment and decided it was definitely what I wanted to do.
I just started my very first technicians’ job in the IT field and I am absolutely convinced that this was the best decision I could have made. I love what I’m doing. I have more opportunities to go in so many directions with my new career that it’s overwhelming to try and consider the possibilities. The skills I learned in class have already started showing themselves in the field and that is a great feeling to know that you can actually apply what you’ve learned to a real world scenario and it works great.
My biggest fears were that I’m 37 and I’ve been out of school for 21 years. How was I actually going to be able to get into a school program after being out so long? I didn’t know if I would be able to grasp the information I needed. When would I find time to study? How am I going to pay for this? That was it, I’m too old, I’ve been out of school for to long, and I can’t afford to do this. Well, after seeing where eight years got me at my job, I couldn’t afford not to do it. Let me tell you, it was the fastest six months of my life. The lectures, labs, study materials and specifically the staff are just outstanding. The amount of material covered is incredible. The instructor’s lesson plans are presented very well, and are also explained so that people with little or no computer experience can understand the concepts.
My advice to new students would be to take full advantage of all the resources at your disposal. Study hard, there’s a lot of material to learn in six months. Do the labs over and over until they are second nature to you. Also make sure to start using the self-test software right from the start, this will definitely get you prepared for the certification exams. Make time to study, everybody is busy, but you will definitely benefit from studying hard for six straight months. Trust me it’s worth it.
Looking back, I wish I had done this along time ago. I could only imagine where I would be already. I actually enjoy going to work every day. I’m surrounded by people that enjoy what they do and it shows. Great things are in the future. I can’t wait to see what the future has in store for me and my new career."

"My background in computer was what ever I learned own my own. I work in a growing industry where computers are a part of everyday life. I am a former police officer and now know that I do not have to work out in the weather and know I do not have to worry about going out and never coming home. My biggest fear was that I would not be able to land a good job, but that wasn’t true at all. I am now working and making as much as I was a police officer. The advice I would give to anyone considering the course would be to study and continue taking tests. My experience with ComputerTraining.com has been one of my best. If I had to do it over again I would do it in a heartbeat."

"My computer background coming into the program was limited to basic OS knowledge and hardware relating to desktop computers. I decided that I needed to make a career change because of where I was in my current profession and the lack of growth. I knew that pursuing certifications via a program like the one offered at ComputerTraining.com would help me to gain the skills needed to succeed in a career in IT.
In my new career, I enjoy the everyday challenge of learning new hardware and software technologies and having to learn how to maintain, troubleshoot and manage the technology in a live production environment.
My biggest fear before entering the program was being able to keep up with the reading and required homework. The idea of moving through highly technical information in such a short period of time was intimidating at first, but within a few weeks of starting the program I began to settle into a rhythm that allowed me to keep up and learn the information that was being studied.
The best advice I can offer to new students entering the program is to be diligent and make the most of the time in the program. The instructor and career advisors are valuable resources that are essential to success in the program and pursuing a career in the IT field.
The program is directly responsible for helping me to gain the skills needed to succeed in a career in IT. The Instructor and my Career Advisor played an integral part in my succeeding in getting into a new job and career."
