"I had been in the IT field for a while but needed the certifications to further my knowledge and career opportunities. ComputerTraining.com provided everything I needed to attain my goals.

My instructor was exceptional and all future students will benefit from his extensive knowledge. Students definitely need to put in 100% of their effort and focus to get everything out of this course, but you will be so thankful in the future!"

"In the summer of 2006, I was working as a site manager for a facilities management company. I had been working for the company for twelve-and-a-half years and had worked my way up through the ranks.  That summer I felt I had hit a ceiling and needed a change to continue to improve myself and my path in life.  I had heard several commercials for ComputerTraining.com and decided to give the Online Skills Challenge a try. I had no formal training with computers, but had gained a fair amount of knowledge on my own and wanted to increase that knowledge.

Before I had even completed my course, I had interviewed with several companies!  One such company was, coincidentally, a competitor of my previous employer. They offered me a position where I was able to utilize the experience I had already gained, and the chance to put to use the education I was receiving at ComputerTraining.com.  My starting salary was comparable to what I had already earned with my previous company but there were extra benefits included as well. I am extremely grateful to ComputerTraining.com for giving me this opportunity."

"Though I have relatively little job experience, the positions in which I found myself working didn’t give me the drive that I was looking for until I decided to focus on the IT field. Before I entered the ComputerTraining.com program, I had very basic computer knowledge and software skills, which were acquired more or less by discovery. I thought to myself that earning the right knowledge and coupling it with the drive I had to learn would definitely be the start to a rewarding career.

My experience at ComputerTraining.com far exceeded my expectations. All of my fears and anxieties were alleviated once I got used to the fast-paced program. All of the staff, from the instructors to the career specialists, provided me with great help as I learned. I would recommend this program to anyone!"

"My computer background included programming in several languages, and utilization of a wide variety of software including graphic arts, CAD, databases, spreadsheets and general reporting. My starting point with computers was in hardware, having majored in electronics design and repair. My first computer was an old Radio Shack TRS-80, and I taught myself to program and repair it.

The electronics industry, for the most part, dried up and transferred overseas. To have a tech like me repair your TV cost as much as a brand new set! I began contracting independently, mostly taking on various rehab jobs on residential homes, installing tile floors, bathrooms, new kitchens, roofs, etc. I began to consider computers as a career after several years of rehab work, I felt physically worn out. I thought to myself, computers are here to stay and the pay is great without all of the back-breaking work.

I listened to the ads on the radio, and decided I had to do something so I took the Online Skills Challenge. I didn't know how I would do and at one point I was ready give up.  I pressed on and read a great many of the Success Stories on the wall in the classroom and campus and decided that if others could do it, I could too! I focused, worked hard, and graduated with a grade of 92%!

Prior to graduating, I was introduced the CEO of a corporation. He asked what I did for a living and I explained my background and that I was also finishing school. He liked my attitude and personality and needed an on-site person to handle his network.  He asked me to interview and when I did, I was hired on the spot!

My advice to potential students would be to realize that computers are here to stay, and that the need for skilled IT staff is always increasing.  The pay is good and you are able to learn IT management and create career changes if you really want to. I did, and it has not only given me a better income, but it has also put a stop to the back-breaking work I was doing!"

"After high school I went to college to study in the computer field. During this time I had a professor that offered me a job at his computer company. But due to lack to business, about a year later I needed to move on to another job in another field. This job involved hard labor as well as out of town travel. After two years with that company I decided to go back to school for IT training. I heard an ad for ComputerTraining.com on the radio, so I decided to give it a shot.

The IT field gives me the chance to make a decent wage without breaking my back. I also like the idea of being able to interact with others and help solve their computer problems. Although I knew I wanted to go back to school, my biggest concern was how to pay back my student loan. I found, though, that if you are ready for a fast paced, intense program that lasts only six months you will be rewarded for the rest of your life.

Now that I have completed my training, it has allowed me the opportunity to make more money than I ever imagined, and without a college degree."

"When I enrolled in ComputerTraining.com’s program I was a bit skeptical, however after several weeks in the program I started to understand and see the results of the education I was getting from my instructor very quickly.

After earning my first certification as an MCP (Microsoft Certified Professional), I started to realize that my goal for a rewarding career in the IT world was not that far fetched.

I have been out of school for several months and I am currently working in the IT department for one of the world’s best hospitals. Before enrolling at ComputerTraining.com, I was a plumber and was not happy with where my career was headed. I made the change and invested time and hard work into ComputerTraining.com and came out on top.

I would tell potential students not to get overwhelmed and to just ask for help if you have any questions or confusion. In addition to my MCP, I have now earned my MCSA. I will be working on finishing up my MCSE this month and getting my CCNA and A+ certifications as well!"

"I had been using a home computer for about five years, and began writing again. Basically, I had never applied computer skills until I started managing my own websites for the sale of my newly published book in 2006. I have an extensive background with Microsoft Word including Excel, Power-Point and basic writing and publishing skills.

After many years in Retail Management plus a tremendous amount of hours worked on a salaried pay, I decided to take a break from work for awhile. It became quite difficult for me to take various jobs only to make ends meet. After my experience in the publishing world, I found it very difficult to maintain a proper salary to meet all my financial responsibilities.

While still writing, I found myself enjoying the use of my home computer so much more, but felt I needed to gain more knowledge to pursue a career on this path. Being forty-five, I also needed to look at my future in regards to long-term employment and retirement options.

I was spending a total of twelve hours a day on my PC and decided I could actually do something productive with this time. After exploring various educational facilities, I took the Online Skills Challenge and that was a turning point in choosing ComputerTraining.com for my education.

The education I received at ComputerTraining.com was very positive for me. My instructor and career placement counselor were very helpful and always willing to go that extra mile to be sure I understood the applications and procedures I was taught.

With only a ninth grade education and a GED, I had second thoughts.  Being at a later stage in my life, I sort of felt left out of the loop.  Being dyslexic and having AHAD, I had begun feeling I wouldn’t become employable if I continued on in the present state.

I worried about how to pay the tuition, which felt like a huge obstacle. Fortunately, through the resources ComputerTraining.com provided during the sign up process, I was able to secure a student loan with SallieMae which made my education possible, as well as easy to repay and maintain.

ComputerTraining.com has given me the educational tools to work toward a new career, while easily accessing various employment opportunities, as well as working toward becoming independent and employable.

I am happy to say I now can operate a network of computers and apply all the necessary tools and applications I have learned in class. I am proud to say I am back in the workforce again and enjoying my job more than any other position I’ve ever had!

I would urge students to stay focused and to ask questions when you have difficulty. Make this education your main priority until the six month period ends and complete the required work. Graduation is a reward in itself! The program really works if you apply yourself. I feel a strong support system of family and friends is a major factor as well.

I’m very happy with my new position at a major web-hosting company. The hours are great, the flexibility and work environment are more relaxed than any position I’ve ever held. The salary is quite sufficient for me and there is room for advancement within the company. I now have stability, satisfaction, and a feeling of accomplishment, and that feels good!"
