A Training Center is only as good as the students that fill its classrooms.  If our students are not successful, we are not successful.   Below are just a few of the many student success stories happening at ComputerTraining.com.

"I have a college degree in Business Administration and knew the ins and outs of basic Microsoft office applications and used them very effectively. Mostly PowerPoint, Word & Excel. I was always the go-to guy to help others in the office fine tune their presentations, documents and troubleshoot if they were having a computer issue. And lots of times the IT person at the office would hit a wall with a problem or issue and ask me to take a crack at it. In fact I had a few incidents where the IT guy was upset that I fixed a few issues in much faster than he did. I knew enough to be a resource but lacked the credentials and formal training that would allow me to take it to the next level. I didn't know anything of servers other than they were shared resources for multiple users. I knew there was a hierarchy and that you could do things from the server to make changes for multiple users but didn't know how to execute it or how easy or difficult that could be.

I was successful making good commissions and a decent living but not happy with what I was doing and couldn't see myself in my current role for thirty more years. I was nearing my mid 30's. I know I have a long time to go till retirement and that it was time to get a job where I could have fun and enjoy what I was doing.

I know there are lots of potential students that say the same thing and I hate to be cliché but I had been kicking the idea of a career change for over six years, taking the Online Skills Challenge and scoring well, but most times I took the exam under a fake name and e-mail address. Not wanting to be solicited to sign up for classes or pressured, etc. I knew ComputerTraining.com was there if I decided to take the next steps.

So I began my research - online tests, personality tests, profiles there are a lot of good resources people can find and the majority of them pointed me to IT administrator as a good fit based on my aptitude, personality and other interests. I had already set up a home wireless network for my laptops, computers and various video game systems mostly just by following the enclosed directions or researching it on the internet or books. My brother in law who is a PC technician came over to check it and told me it was the most secure home network he had seen by someone without an IT background.

Being a father to two young children, working full-time and going to school seemed to be a tough proposition, after talking it over with my wife she said six months towards a new career would be worth it in the end. It is not easy attending class, studying, working and juggling life in general, but with the proper commitment and support you can be successful. My wife has noticed how much happier I am now that I have a job doing something I enjoy and the pay is great too.

If you are on the fence with this decision, take the Online Skills Challenge, visit a ComputerTraining.com center - make the change, don't wait. That first step is the hardest. "

"ComputerTraining.com was a great experience for me. After getting my AA degree in computer information systems, I continued my education at a four year college. After only attending the college for a year I decided that college was not for me. I felt stuck and did not have enough experience to find a job that would help me further my career. That is when I made the phone call to ComputerTraining.com. The friendly staff explained to me how the six month program went. After taking the Online Skills Challenge, I received a phone call almost immediately. The process of applying to the school was easy. ComputerTraining.com helped me get the hands on experience I did not have. ComputerTraining.com got me where I am today. It was the best investment of my life. "

"I had a little background in computers knowing some basic programming in high school. The reason why I changed careers is I was not going anywhere with the certification I have. Computers will be here always I wanted to broaden my knowledge on computers and get a certification.

I like my new job, learning a new field to help broaden more of my computer knowledge and can help customers with their computer problems.

I jumped in with two feet not knowing what I was getting into I worked hard and learned things I would never had known. My biggest fear was I would never get through the course. Well I am almost through with the course still working on getting my MCP.

It’s a jump of faith in yourself and need the will power to keep with it. Good luck and study hard. I have got a new job and moving forward willing to learn as much as I can and keep moving forward. "

"Computers have always been apart of my life. I enjoyed learning about what made them work and how to make them more useful. As technology progressed, keeping up with everything just felt impossible.

After a few years working with web development, I was driving home and heard a ComputerTraining.com radio commercial. When I got home I quickly went online and took the Online Skills Challenge. After meeting with the instructor and the admissions director I had made my decision that this is where I needed to be. They made the admissions process very easy and painless. Already having experience in the IT field I didn’t feel like a full time technical school was for me. ComputerTraining.com offered a perfect schedule the allowed me to continue to work while obtaining the knowledge and hands on skills that I needed to improve my career. My time at ComputerTraining.com provided me with many skills and abilities, personal and technical, that I will continue to use for the rest of my life.

ComputerTraining.com has definitely impacted my life in ways that I would never be able to explain. In less than six months they provided me with the knowledge and abilities to succeed in the IT Industry. Now here I am, a Network Administrator for nation wide company, with my MCP Certification and only a few more tests go obtain my MCSA and MCSE certifications. If you would have asked me a year ago what I would be doing today I wouldn’t have known. I have to give a lot of credit to all of those at ComputerTraining.com who have helped me achieve the most out of myself.

Overall my experience with ComputerTraining.com has been outstanding. Through hard work and determination to improve your life, anyone can succeed at ComputerTraining.com. I would recommend anyone who wants to start a new life and a new career to take the first step and try out the Online Skills Challenge. Go and preview what they have to offer and see if it’s what you are looking for. This school is definitely not for everyone; however, they will do everything they can to take your career to the next level."

"Prior to coming to ComputerTraining.com I was stuck in rut of jobs without advancement opportunities. I didn't have a 'career' and did not truly enjoy the work that I was doing. I had always been looking for a good program that would help me get my certifications. I knew that IT was a very strong field with well-paying jobs and a lot of growth potential. I thought I knew a lot about computers going into the program, but I quickly learned just how much there is still to learn.

With the help of a great instructor, he taught me everything I needed to know about troubleshooting computers, networks, printers, servers, etc. He was not only knowledgeable but extremely motivating. He kept me on track...even when I started to veer off course at times! I ended up earning my MCP and I am still studying to pursue my MCSE. Throughout the program I worked with Career Services to build an IT resume and help find employment as soon as possible.

By working with them and doing my own job search, I was able to secure a great IT position as a Desktop Support technician. I love my team and I am making twice as much as I had been before going back to school. Additionally, I know that with my experience and certification, my salary will only go up from here. Going back to school was a tough decision and it required a lot of hard work and studying, but it was well worth it and I am so happy that I did it. "

"I’m A+ certified and wanted to get my MCSE to get promoted at work. I like the new challenges and responsibility of my new Enterprise Engineer II position. My biggest concern was not having the time to study for the program…I had to reprioritize my home life and my family was very supportive of this. Study hard and don’t be discouraged about the pace. I now have a 9 – 5 job with people who respect the work I do."

"For years I had been working in the data and telecom industry. I thought I knew enough about networking to at least be able to have discussions with the IT people of the world. One moment a few years ago changed that. While working on the telecom side of a business installation, I had to go over some things with their IT person concerning ports and the network setup. After only a few minutes of conversation, he told me that speaking to me about any of this was useless because I obviously do not know nearly anything about true networking. I became very angry and left the room and then I realized something… he was right.

That moment motivated me to want to learn. I heard all of the radio adds for ComputerTraining.com and decided to give it a shot. That was two and a half years ago. Now I am the guy that people go to for advice and help concerning networking. The class at ComputerTraining.com was just incredible. I engulfed the opportunity and took full advantage of all of the resources that were available to me. The instructor was very intelligent concerning the Microsoft products. I had questions and he had answers.

Being at that class changed my life. It made me realize that no matter how difficult or challenging any type of learning material is, if you study hard, ask questions and be patient, the answers will come to you. I know at first everything is very overwhelming and seems to be somewhat impossible to learn, but patience and good study habbits will make you achieve excellent results.

The only regret I have about the class is not starting it sooner. Being out in the IT field now I realize that there are many IT people out there that do not know as much as they think they know. Computertraining.com will give you the knowledge and ability necessary to slowly become a top tier IT Engineer. "
