"I graduated from college with a Bachelors degree in Computer Programming. I quickly learned that it was impossible to find a programming job without work experience, but I couldn’t get work experience without a job. Also, my school didn’t specialize its programming curriculum in any one language so I had learned a little of this and a little of that, but most potential employers wanted me to know everything about one programming language.
I had been working administrative and other part time jobs and was not really going anywhere. So, I turned to ComputerTraining.com. I realized there are a lot of networking positions available and they pay well. I worked hard and studied all the time. I managed to pass my first test and earn the MCP certification, which was an amazing feeling of accomplishment. It took me a few tries to pass the next test, but I just had to look forward to the future and keep trying.
I think my biggest fear in doing all this was “What if I don’t make it?” I overcame this fear once I realized that my teacher and all the support staff at ComputerTraining.com were really there to help me succeed. If I needed help, all I had to do was ask. If I was worried about an interview, I just expressed my concern and I was offered mock interviews or encouraging words. Once I made it to an interview, I found that I had learned a lot more than I realized. The technical questions were easy and I could provide more information than they had asked for. I now have a position in Tier I Technical Support. We support anything from basic applications to network connectivity and handheld devices. My new position has a lot of room for advancement and I really enjoy helping people to get technology to work for them.
My advice to anyone thinking about attending ComputerTraining.com or worried about making it afterwards is to just go for it. Everyone is there to help you. Make friends with your classmates; they can be wonderful resources. Don’t be afraid to say “I’ll have to get back to you.” In the real world there are tons of resources and no one expects you to know everything off the top of your head. Just remember no one will answer your question if you don’t ask. Also, remember to STUDY, STUDY, STUDY, and try to keep on track with your testing.
My experience at ComputerTraining.com has made it possible for me to accomplish the goals I have in life. I can actually picture the home, car, and family I will have, as long as I keep working for it. I appreciate the experience and skills I have gained at ComputerTraining.com and plan to use them for life."

"I have had a background working with computers a little in the military. Other than that, it was on my own time at home that I was able to explore and learn on computers. I wanted to get certified in the IT field and have a career in something that I enjoyed doing. I have always had a deep interest in computers so I used ComputerTraining.com to help me get the career that I wanted.
I like that my new career gives me the opportunity to learn new things every day. I am also using the knowledge that I learned at ComputerTraining.com in my new position. I found that the more you know in the IT field, the more valuable you are as an employee.
My biggest concern before entering the program was that I didn’t want the curriculum to be too hard or to start off too fast. I overcame it by paying attention to detail and taking my instructor’s advice on how to study.
I would tell new students to take this class very seriously because it will pay off in time. The instructors are extremely knowledgeable and can teach you both real world experience and by-the-book knowledge. The overall experience of ComputerTraining.com got me into the career I wanted and has also helped me out financially."

"I spent many years working in warehouses and factories with no benefits, and no real chance to get ahead. I heard an ad for ComputerTraining.com on the radio on my way home from work one day. I immediately wrote the website down and as soon as I got home, I took the Online Skills Challenge. After researching the program and its success rate, the decision to attend was a no-brainer. My introduction to computers came when I was in school via a Commodore 64 that my math teacher had in class. From then I was hooked. In my spare time I read about all the new technology, never dreaming in a million years I would some day be able to make a career of it.
Thanks to my time at ComputerTraining.com, I have turned my favorite hobby into a fun career where the sky is the limit. My class started in September, and by January, I had my first IT job. The instructor was fantastic, and made learning almost easy. But they don’t stop there; the entire staff is very friendly and helpful. The career counselor was as determined as I was to find me a job. Part of the training is a mock interview that helps you improve what can be the biggest cause of not getting work; a bad interview. If you are serious about getting into the IT field and work hard, by the time you graduate you will be ready to make that move."

"My computer background is one of personal experience and experimentation prior to ComputerTraining.com. I had simply learned about computers through friends and fellow “computer geeks” in college, and disassembling my parents PC as often as possible. I considered a certification in order to obtain employment as a viable computer technician. I knew that in this industry, in order to be taken seriously, you must have a degree or certification in order to obtain a career.
I enjoy my profession most in the aspect of having great advancement opportunities. Being certified affords me the opportunity to advance quickly and brings me a great respect for my abilities. I find that I am receiving countless phone calls from potential employers who are looking for a candidate with a certification.
My biggest concern about the program was the time that I would have to dedicate to the learning curve. After starting, however, I found that the pace of the class is extremely manageable, and worth the commitment. The staff at ComputerTraining.com made me feel from the beginning that the program was something that I could handle with hard work and dedication. The support, personal attention and encouragement to succeed that I received was the driving force behind my achievements. I would advise new students simply to work hard and stay focused. The rewards in the end are far greater than that of the time and work devoted.
I am taken seriously now. Previously, I could only simply say “I’m good with computers.” Now, I can prove my skills, and that alone has opened a world of new doors for me."

"I never had much of a computer background. I have always liked computers but without being certified I could never accomplish what I wanted to do in it. I love the fact that ComputerTrainining.com gave me the skills I needed to break into IT. In my previous career, I felt I had hit my ceiling. Now the sky is the limit.
I had done HVAC so long, it was all I knew. I was nervous in switching to a career where I had no experience. But with the skills I have learned, my fears are a thing of the past.
Be prepared for a rewarding experience. Be prepared to work hard and if you dedicate yourself, it can be life changing. The experience definitely changed both my life and career. I now have the ability to take my life to where I want it to go. Without ComputerTraining.com, I never would have been able to do it."

"I have been interested in computers since I got a Commodore 64 at the age of eight. I have played with every version on Windows from Windows 3.11 through Vista. I tried to get my certification back in NT 4.0, but I did not understand some of the info and had no one to ask. I had forgotten about the certifications since then, till I heard about ComputerTraining.com.
I am grateful for the experience I had because now a lot more opportunities are available to me and I have met many great people at ComputerTraining.com, students and staff alike.
The program was great, the labs were challenging, and there was a lot of hard work involved with passing the program and the exams. ComputerTraining.com showed me that with drive and ambition, and some help from fellow students and instructors, I can succeed in the world of network administration."

"My computer background was all self-taught before attending ComputerTraining.com. I was always the person my friends and family would go to when they were having computer problems. I didn't always know the answers but I was able to figure them out by researching and keeping at it. I considered getting certified and making a career change because I knew that what I would enjoy working in IT and I asked myself “why not choose a career that I liked?”
Right around the time of graduation, I began working in a help desk position with a very large publishing company and am now able to apply some of the skills I have learned. I enjoy my new job and I now have the opportunity to gain the experience required in order grow in the IT field.
My biggest concerns going into ComputerTraining.com was that I would not finish the program. I had previously dropped out of a University after attending for three years. After attending ComputerTraining.com for a while, I was able to overcome my fears. Once I received my first certification and I saw that I understood the concepts easily.
The advice I would give to new students entering the program is not to give up! Do not be discouraged if you fail an exam or two or three. Stay motivated, try harder, and you will be successful. The overall experience at ComputerTraining.com has completely changed my life because I have quickly and thoroughly gained the knowledge necessary to open the doors to many career paths within the IT field."
